Wyoming Arts Council to Hold Public Art Committee Meeting for UW Aquatic Center Project
The Wyoming Arts Council will hold the final committee meeting for the public art project at the University of Wyoming’s new Aquatic Center on Tuesday, May 26, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Members of the public are invited to listen as the selection committee reviews the project and discusses guidelines for the artwork.
The Art in Public Buildings program, administered by the Wyoming Arts Council, was established in 1991 to set aside a portion of state capital construction funds for commissioning artwork for new or renovated public buildings. Since its inception, more than 200 works of art have been installed in and around public facilities across Wyoming.
The public may listen to the meeting by calling +1 708-942-4556 and entering PIN 184 528 451#, or by joining via Google Meet at meet.google.com/tek-aces-syq. All callers and online attendees will be muted for the duration of the meeting. Public comment will not be accepted unless prior arrangements are made by contacting Ismael Dominguez at ismael.dominguez@wyo.gov at least 24 hours in advance.
